About Neely

2024.jpg

I have lived in Spokane since 1990, with the exception of my 4 years at Carroll College, where I received degrees in Communication and Psychology.  I wasn't aware at the time that my interest in how humans think, react, and relate, as well as my penchant for public speaking, would lead me to a career in teaching yoga.

I committed myself to an almost daily yoga practice after learning that I was pregnant for the first time in 2007.  I wanted to do all that I could to feel vibrant and healthy throughout my pregnancy.  Little did I know that I was beginning an amazing journey which would inspire my own body and mind and call me to lead others as a conduit of Yoga.

I continued practicing Yoga both at home and through Harmony Yoga because my body grew strong and felt better than it had in years, and I was learning to calm my mind and extend a sense of kindness toward myself and others in a way that I had never known.  I began to think of how I could share this with others.

After the birth of my second child in 2011, I began teaching Prenatal Yoga, having trained specifically in Prenatal and Postnatal yoga at the Seattle Holistic Center. I  took the 200 hour Teacher Training through Harmony Yoga and completed the 300 hour teacher training to become RYT-500.

My degree in Communication and my thousands of hours of teaching give me a strong ability to explain and guide my students according to their experience and unique needs.
